Sainkho Namtchylak by Bert Noglik in Jazzpodium:
"A woman, a writer, a singer, an artist, a person with the deepest desire and need to express her
innermost voice, her soul, her deepest thoughts, and her true feelings. Sainkho Namtchylak invites us to accompany her on her endless journey into new territories, exploring the unknown
and the wonders of life. She is driven by a force greater than herself, and she knows that her
expression lies on a long continuum. She touches us with painful cries, gentle sounds, naked
truth, and the balm of tender gestures. She is generous to us, opens her heart, and shows us her
vulnerability. What she says is very precious. We should be careful with the gift she gives us. Just
read, just listen, just follow the narrative..."
Sainkho Namtchylak Biography

Tuomas Rounakari is an internationally acclaimed violinist, composer and ethnomusicologist from Finland. He is a one-man-band blending violin, vocals and stomping with ankle-bells. In his performance he enters various trance-states.

Tuomas draws inspiration from different forms of dialogue, such as dialogue between man and nature, the seen and unseen worlds, the ancient and future. His 2009 debut solo album, Shamanviolin, emerged from his ethnomusicological study of early 20th-century phonograph recordings from Siberia. His subsequent journeys to Siberia allowed him to perform his interpretations of these ancient songs alongside the indigenous communities from which they originated. These journeys sparked further collaborations with artists from Khanty, Mansi, Sámi, and Greenlandic cultures. Tuomas Rounakari Biography More: Tuomas Rounakari
